It All Started With a Tutor (Who Happens to Be My Wife)
My wife’s a tutor, just like you. She teaches maths in Scotland and wanted a website, social media presence, and email list for the same reasons as most tutors:

But as brilliant as she is (and I’m biased, I know), she’s a teacher — not an IT professional. So I stepped in to help.
That small project became Mrs J Maths Tutor, and it sparked something bigger. I realised that many tutors face the same tech frustrations my wife did, and that I could use my IT and background to help them too.
Why Me?
I’m Derek Singer. I hold a first-class honours degree in computing and have worked in IT since 2002, including roles in support, database admin, and computer forensics.
